Evening & Weekend Emergency Appointments
Pain doesn’t keep office hours, and neither do we. We hold same-day slots every day we’re open, with evening hours until 8 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays and appointments on Saturdays. That means you don’t have to lose a day of work, wait until next week, or spend your evening in an ER waiting room just to get out of pain.
When you call, tell us exactly what’s going on: a throbbing tooth, a crown that fell out, swelling, a chipped front tooth. We’ll figure out how urgent it is and get you in as fast as we can. Most emergencies we can see the same day.
Here’s what to expect when you reach us:
We answer fast: Tell us your symptoms and we’ll let you know how soon you need to be seen.
We hold time for emergencies: Real pain doesn’t go on a waitlist behind routine checkups.
We get you comfortable first: We numb the area before any treatment, and we have sedation options if you’re anxious.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Emergencies

How much does an emergency dentist cost in Downtown Toronto?
An emergency specific exam typically follows Ontario Dental Association fee ranges. Final cost depends on required treatment. We provide transparent pricing before any procedure and offer direct insurance billing to minimize out-of-pocket costs.
Can I get a same day emergency appointment?
Yes. We keep slots open every day for emergencies and do our best to see you the same day, often within hours. Call us first and we’ll find you the earliest possible time.
What should I do if my tooth gets knocked out?
Pick it up by the crown, not the root, and gently rinse it with water without scrubbing. If you can, slip it back into the socket; if not, keep it in milk or inside your cheek. Then call us immediately, because acting fast gives the best chance of saving it.
What counts as a dental emergency?
If you’re in serious pain, bleeding that won’t stop, have a knocked out or broken tooth, a swollen jaw or face, or a lost filling or crown, that’s an emergency. When in doubt, call us. We’ll tell you whether you need to come in right away or whether it can wait.
How fast can you get me out of pain?
Our first goal is relief. Depending on what’s causing it, we can often ease your pain at the same visit, whether that means treating an infection, fixing a broken tooth, or relieving pressure. Call us and we’ll get you seen as quickly as possible.
What should I do for a severe toothache before I get there?
Rinse with warm salt water, gently floss to clear any trapped food, and use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek. An over the counter pain reliever can help in the meantime. Avoid putting aspirin directly on the gum, and call us so we can find the cause.
